After a poor start to their Champions League campaign, Arsenal will be looking to keep their qualification hopes alive when they travel away to meet high flying Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening.
Arsene Wenger’s side had made an indifferent start in the Group F, suffering back to back defeats from the hands of Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos in their opening two fixtures, but bounced back with a 2-0 win when they hosted the Bavarians at Emirates Stadium a week ago.
Bayern Munich on the other hand, made a superb start in the Champions League by winning 3-0 away at Olympiakos followed by a 5-0 thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb. Their loss against Arsenal is the first defeat in a competitive match this season so far.
The German Champions are top of the Group F with 6 points after 3 matches, with Olympiakos in second with the same points. Arsenal on the other are level on points with Dinamo Zagreb with 3 points stay third in the table helped by a healthy goal difference. The Gunners must not lose this match if they are to put themselves into a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages.
