Australia have struggled for consistency through most part of the World Cup Qualifiers and only made it to Russia through Intercontinental Play-offs and a 3-1 aggregate win over Honduras. However, their unpredictable spell of form continued and we’ve seen Bert van Marwijk’s men suffer a 4-1 loss to Norway and only hold Colombia to a goalless draw in two friendlies since then.
Socceroos now need a confidence booster as they play Czech Republic at NV ARENA in St. Polten, Austria but it’s obvious they’re in for another tough challenge as the rivals come into the match in great shape.
Czech Republic have bagged five wins in their last six outings across competitions and although it was too little too late in their World Cup Qualifiers campaign, we do feel they will be motivated to lift their spirits ahead of the UEFA Nations League and September clashes against Ukraine and Slovakia. We’ve seen them outclass China PR (1-4) in their last outing in March and we do hope for another thrilling occasion on the day.

We will now stick our necks out for World Cup absentees Czech Republic to build on their fine recent form and hold off the Socceroos in Austria, sticking our necks out for a Draw at 3.25 which does look the best way to go about the market at this point.
We do expect an exciting matchup and although Australia have more to play for as they look to build on their team spirits ahead of the final tournament, we don’t see them turning it their way. With that in mind, we’ll now also back a YES on Both teams to score at 1.90 – hoping to see in-form attacking lines on the day again.
