Atalanta vs Udinese
Italian Serie A.
Date: Saturday, 31 March 2018
Kick-Off: 14:00 UK/ 15:00 CET
Venue: Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia (Bergamo).
Atalanta will aim to continue their push for a Europa League spot as they lock horns with struggling Udinese on Saturday afternoon.
The Zebrette have been on a rapid downward fall lately. In fact, they come into this game having lost five in a row, and it appears that the kick they were under when Massimo Oddo took over – which saw them end Inter’s unbeaten run – has come to an end.
As for La Dea, they come into this game having cruised to a very comfortable 5-0 win over relegation candidates Hellas Verona on the road. Having gotten a taste of European competition, they surely will be hoping to feature yet again. At the present, they sit in seventh spot, six points behind AC Milan. However, the Rossoneri will be facing Juventus in the Coppa Italia, so in theory, they could qualify for the Europa League by beating the Bianconeri. Should that happen, then seventh place will be enough to earn a shot at featuring in continental competition next term.
Despite Udinese’s struggles as of late, they are still managing to score. Atalanta will obviously not want to underestimate them, as they have scored against Inter, Roma, and AC Milan in their travels.
Still, Atalanta have scored at home in all their games except against Napoli and Roma – and those two sides sit in second and third – so they should be able to grab a goal here as well.

Atalanta vs Udinese: Prediction
Udinese have been in lousy form lately, but Atalanta won’t want to underestimate them. The international break could have done them some good and notably, they are unbeaten in their last nine games against La Dea. Yes, they have lost four of their last six league games, but during that time they took on Lazio, Juventus, and a Sampdoria side who are heavily reliant on their home form.
Both teams have scored in their last six meetings, so this could turn out to be an evenly contested affair.
