Atalanta haven’t given up their hopes of making it to the Europa League next season, and they come into this game sitting in seventh place. Given that they are just two points behind AC Milan, who failed to win their last five games, La Dea will look to leapfrog them into sixth position whilst staying ahead of Sampdoria.

Torino, meanwhile are only five points away from their upcoming opponents. They’re not entirely out of the race for a Europa League spot, but they will need to win here to make it happen. The issue is their away form, and although they have improved, it seems like they’re at times looking to finish as high in the table as possible. One problem really hurting them is all of their draws, and in fact, they drew more games than any other side in the league this term.

Torino come into this game having recently picked up four points against Inter and AC Milan. Notably, they did beat the Nerazzurri 1-0 whilst their last game saw them draw the Rossoneri 1-1; both teams ranked higher than Atalanta.

La Dea, for their own part, have struggled at home as of late. In fact, they won only once in their last five games on home turf, and they ended up dropping points against Sampdoria and Inter. That’s notable as Sampdoria aren’t known for their strong away form. All in all, they have generally no problems with dealing with teams in the bottom half of the table, but when it comes to teams who are closer to them in the rankings, they fumble.

Atalanta vs Torino: Head-to-head

  • There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Atalanta’s last 6 home games
  • There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Torino’s last 3 games
  • Torino are undefeated in their last 5 matches

Atalanta vs Torino: Predictions

Torino have drawn 14 games so far this term, more than any other side. The Granata have also drawn eight of their away games this term, and they have won just one away game against any team in the top seven (when they beat Lazio 3-1). Both teams could end up canceling each out, especially given Atalanta’s less than impressive home form as of late.
