Arsene Wenger hope for Sanchez return before Man City game

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger thinks Alexis Sanchez can make a return from the treatment room and play against Man City amid medical team not declaring the Chile international fully fit.

Alexis Sanchez visited the injury room with hamstring when Arsenal draw 1-1 away to Norwich City in November.

Joel Campbel and Theo Walcott stepping in the absence of the Chilean to help the Gunners see three wins out of three games in all competitions.

But Arsene Wenger is full of hopes to have his key player back ahead of the their super clash with second placed Man City on Monday.

“I think the closest to have a chance is Sanchez but medically my people think he will not be ready, but Sanchez being Sanchez, you never know.

“City is a big game. We want to beat City at home. We now have eight days to recover and prepare. It will be an interesting one.”

Arsenal have picked up third consecutive wins in all competitions after beating Aston Villa 2-0 at Upton Park, thanks to Olivier Giroud’s Penalty on 8 minutes and Aaron Ramsey’s slot another at 38 minutes.

The Gunners are can only see their title hopes alive if they manage to grab three points week in week out in December starting with Man City, Southampton, Bournemouth and Newcastle.
