Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals that his side’s 2-1 defeat to West Brom on Saturday was a ‘severe disappointment’ and the team must rebound on Tuesday Champions League game against Dynamo Zagreb.
The Gunners were ridding on the back of a good form to The Hawthorns but were unable to overcome West Brom as goals from Morrison at 35 minutes and Mikel Arteta’s own goal on 40 minutes put the home side up front after Olivier Giroud broke the deadlock on 28 minutes.
Santi Cazorla slipped to miss a penalty which could have given the Gunners a point.
The North London side who are lying third in Group F just three points and six points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich in the Champions League will be in Champions League action on Tuesday at home against Dynamo Zagreb and Arsenal Wenger believes his side must grab the maximum points to give them a quick relief.
“It is severe disappointment, we want to bounce back.
“Now we cannot change it and the only thing we can do is bounce back on Tuesday night. It is a difficult moment for us, yes.
“In the last two games, we took one point out of six and that is very difficult and very disappointing when you are on such a great run. We have to come back quickly and focus,” Wenger said.
After their Champions League action, Arsenal will play away to Norwich City on Sunday 29 November.
