Its clash of the titans when Arsenal host Leicester City in the match-day 26 of the English Premier League on Sunday evening.

Arsenal are separated from the league leaders Leicester City by virtue of five points at the time of kick-off and this is a high key clash in which both teams didn’t want to drop any points.

Arsenal got back to winning ways at Bournemouth last weekend in an unconvincing fashion after failing to win four previous matches. While Leicester City continue their fairy tale run with an emphatic 3-1 away win at Manchester City and they should go into this match as narrow favourites.

Arsenal vs Leicester City : Form Comparison

Arsenal last five matches produced 1 win, 3 draws and 1 defeat which recorded only 6 points from possible 15. Moreover they have scored only 5 goals in the last 5 and conceded 4. There is a serious threat to their title hopes as they failed to win in their last two home matches which reads a draw against Southampton and a defeat against rivals Chelsea.

Leicester have only lost twice to season and one of the teams that beat them earlier this season is Arsenal and the other being Liverpool. Since their defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s side in December, they are unbeaten in 7 games.
In the last three matches they have won against the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City with a draw against Aston Villa sandwiched in between.

Arsenal : Team News

Jack Wilshere, Thomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla are still sidelined due to their respective injuries, while Danny Welbeck is close to regain full fitness.

Wenger will be vary of the pace possessed by Vardy and Okazaki and therefore Gabriel could be preferred to Per Mertersacker in defense.

Chamberlain who scored against Bournemouth last time out is expected to keep his place in the squad.

Arsenal : Predicted Line-up

Cech – Monreal, Koscielny, Gabriel, Bellerin – Coquelin, Ramsey – Sanchez, Ozil, Chamberlain – Giroud.

Leicester City : Team News

Jeffrey Schlupp, Matty James and Daniel Amartey are the injured players for the Foxes. And no surprises are expected from the tinkerman Claudio Ranieri, who he is expected to stick with his usual starting line-up for this crucial encounter.

Leicester City : Predicted Line-up

The reverse fixture of same match this season ended in a 5-2 win for Arsenal ignited by a brilliant hat trick from Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal vs Leicester City : Prediction

Arsenal are going through a rough patch and their performance in the last match against minnows Bournemouth was less than convincing. A similar showing on Sunday may see them getting hammered by a ruthless Leicester City.

Losing on Sunday could be also the end of Arsenal’s title hopes. But there is plenty of positives for the Gunners fan as the likes of Coquelin and Alexis Sanchez are fully fit.

Despite their strong record against Leicester, I can hardly see Arsenal winning this one as Leicester have the momentum going into this match. But there is enough quality in the Gunners squad to nullify this effect and I can see this ending in a scored draw.
