Arsene Wenger’s side has been linked with possible moves for top players. The Frenchman will be looking to reinforce his squad with better players this transfer window
The 66-year-old, who reached the milestone of having managed Arsenal for 20 years recently, has seen his club linked with a move for some top players. Most notable on this list are Leicester City hitman Jamie Vardy and Borussia Dortmund winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Jamie Vardy has been in tremendous form in the 2015/16 English Premier League campaign, playing a key role in pairing up with team-mate Riyad Mahrez to fire Leicester City to a surprise league title. Now, the Englishman is reported to have drawn strong interests from the Gunners and is yet to make up his mind about his future.
Arsenal could certainly use him in their line-up; provided, Vardy can prove he is not a one-season wonder and replicate the same performance next season that can match up to the quality of his show last season. The Englishman has set the bar high for himself – and any other forward in the Premier League who wishes to establish himself as a top striker after finishing the season with 24 goals and 6 assists to his name.
Mkhitaryan has reportedly refused to sign a new contract with German club Borussia Dortmund, which has caused some rumours to rise on his future at the club. The right winger might have to look for a new club if he is unable to reach an agreement with his current club. Their current manager Thomas Tuchel knows well that the number 10 has been important in Dortmund’s season, playing across the pitch from Reus.
