Barcelona are edging closer to sign Celta Vigo striker Nolito on loan with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
According to the report from Spanish publication Sport, the deal is already agreed in principle and the transfer is expected to be officially confirmed by the end of this week.
The Spanish international is also rumored to be a transfer target of Arsenal, but now they are dealt with another setback as the ex-Barca B player has set his sights on a return to Camp Nou.
Nolito has been in fine form for Celta Vigo and scored eight goals in the La Liga so far this season. The previous season was even better as he scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists to help his team finish 8th in the league.
The 29-year old has previously played under Luis Enrique at both Barca B and Celta Vigo and is reportedly one of the three players the Blaugrana coach has requested to the board this winter.
With the arrival of Nolito, Barcelona may now hold back their interest in Denis Suarez until the end of the season.
It is also reported that either one of Sandro Ramirez or Munir El Haddadi could head in the opposite direction as part of the deal. While, the other could be loaned out for the rest of the season.
