Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists that his players must utilise their chances against Barcelona in the round sixteenth stage of the Champions League on Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium.
The Spanish side are boasting of sharp attacking trio Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi who together have scored 91 goals this season in all competitions.
The Gunners, however would have to rely on attacking prowess of Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott who have managed 34 goals among themselves in all competitions this season.
The form of Alexis Sanchez has been a worry for the Gunners in recent outing and Arsene Wenger wants his forward to prove his worth when coming against his former club on Tuesday night.
“We have to use every moment in the game where we have a chance to score,” the Frenceman said.
“Against Hull we had 70 per cent possession and didn’t make a lot of it, against Barcelona we will have much less of the ball and we’ll have to make more of it.”
Arsene Wenger admits the individual brilliancy of the Barca, but believes his side are in good shape to curb the Catalan’s qualities.
“I know they have exceptional individual talent, the only way we can do it is collectively by being resilient.”
“Having a great solidarity and being intelligent as well but let’s not forget that we have a good defensive record and a great goalkeeper as well.”
Arsenal will play at home to Barcelona to seek for their first qualification win in the competition against Barcelona since 2010.
