Armenia have been a rather tough side to beat recently and although they’ve failed to make a serious impact in World Cup Qualifiers Group E, we’ve seen some solid performances along the way. They’ve returned to the winning ways and bagged two wins in games against Belarus and Cyprus in November – which should be a confidence booster despite regularly conceding goals as well!
Lernakanner have netted seven goals in those two matches and we will now surely see a very motivated side in the attacking third at Vazgen Sargsyan anvan Hanrapetakan Marzadasht too, led by in-form Henrikh Mkhitaryan. They will now be very tough to hold off in Yerevan and out-of-form Lithuania could have their hands full once again.
Lithuania have suffered seven losses in their last eight outings and earned just an unconvincing 1-1 draw in Malta. Despite seeing some very solid defensive displays in front of the home crowd – including that in a 0-1 loss to England on the final day of the campaign – we have seen Edgaras Jankauskas’ men struggling to put on great challenges on the road and conceding 14 goals in last five trips could be far more worrying ahead of the fixture in Yerevan.

We’ve seen a 4-2 thriller in their last matchup, as two goals from Rimkevicius proved insufficient to cause an upset at this ground in 2012.
