Bayern Munich and Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has play down speculations linking him with a move away from Allianz Arena.
Man United boss Louis Van Gaal has been a long term admirer of the dribbler dating back in Holland when Van Gaal was in-charge of the Dutch National team.
Pep Guadiola’s side are boasting of splendid array of attacking talents in their ranks including Kingsley Coman and Douglas Costa as like for like replacement for Robben.
Coman and Costa had fit Bayern Munich’s set up when Robben was on sidelines through injury but non of these points push the Dutch forward to join any side and insist he is happy at Bavaria.
‘I never thought about a transfer, I am happy in Munich; my family is happy in Munich.
‘My contract runs until 2017. You can’t look too far forward in football, but everything is fine at the moment – I hope things continue this way,’ the 31-year-old said at a Bayern supporters’ club event.
At the same time, Louis Van Gaal had openly admitted the interest in the player and interestingly Robben is the first name that come up in his list when he took charge at Old Trafford. Robben has also confirmed the attempts made by Man United to sign him after the World Cup in Brazil.
“I have a special bond with him, he is the most important coach in my career. After the match he did ask me to come to Manchester.”
United on the other hand is tracking a lot of pottential signing which includes the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Thomas Muller, Neymar and Harry Kane.
Arjen Robben has netted five goals in 12 outings in all competitions for the Bundesliga Champions in the current campaign.
