Argentina take on Honduras in the only friendly prior o the Copa America 2016 at the Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti Auxiliar Monumental in Buenos Aires.
Gerardo Martino is under constant pressure from press and fans alike since he took over as head coach of the Argentina football team. Much owe of the lack of flair in matches that they were supposed to win with much ease. The La Albiceleste haven’t won a major title in over two decades and with the quality of natural talents in the squad, they are more than disappointing. They made a slow start to their World Cup Qualifying campaign after failing to win any of their first three matches, but bounced back with three wins in a row.
Honduras on the other hand were disappointing in recent times. Despite qualifying for the FIFA world cup in Brazil, they finished bottom of their group after losing all three matches. The next major outing was at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015, also finished bottom of their group, winning none of the three matches. Honduras hardly come to the party when facing strong sides. They had won 3 of their last 5 matches, but those came against Cuba, El Salvador and Nicaragua.
Argentina: Team News
Martino has named a full strength squad for the Copa America 2016. Barcelona ace Lionel Messi will once again take the captain’s arm band in USA. The biggest confusion for the head-coach will be whom to start in the attack as both Sergio Agüero and Gonzalo Higuain are coming on the back of excellent scoring record for their respective clubs.

Honduras haven’t done well against strong sides lately and they are not expected to trouble Argentina on Saturday. At the rate at which they concede, 3 or more goals are expected in the match.
