Ararat Armenia vs AIK
Champions League Qualification
Date: Tuesday, 9 July 2019
Kick off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: FFA Academy Stadium (Yerevan).
The hosts are currently on an impressive run of form and are unbeaten in their last four competitive games. Their most recently concluded fixture at home, against Artsakh in the league, saw them post a comfortable 2-0 win at the end of the ninety minutes.
Anton Kobyalko was the man who settled the difference in that game with his first goal coming seven minutes from the kick-off and his second, three minutes after the restart from the penalty spot.
The foes from Sweden have not been enjoying a similar success and will be coming into the clash on Tuesday on the back of a 0-0 draw at the hands of league leaders Malmo FF. The team failed to clinch a win in their last away game against Sundsvall as well where they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw.
Despite taking the initial lead through Tarik Elyounoussi in the 26th minute, their counterparts managed to cut the deficit three minutes before the break through David Batanero effort. The away side failed to threaten after the restart and made not more than two feeble attempts at goal, none of which were even on target.
The team finished the game with a total of six attempts at goal, one less than their opponents, and gave away the major share of possession as well.
The team that comes out on top, in the two legs, will lock horns in the quarterfinals with the winners of the clash between Valur and Maribor.

Ararat Armenia vs AIK Prediction
AIK are almost certain to take the win and an away goal when the two sides meet each for the first time on Tuesday.
The away side have bounced back after suffering back to back defeats away from home in the league and are currently undefeated in their last three trips on the road. The squad have not been shy in finding the back of the net in those games either and have amassed a total of six goals to their name while conceding just two.
With zero losses in their last four competitive fixtures, it goes without saying that the hosts have been just as impressive on the pitch as well.
We can certainly expect both teams to score in the meeting, and the visitors to edge it past the hosts by a slender margin.
