Angers vs PSG
French Ligue 1
Date: Saturday, 11th May 2019
Kick off at 16:00 UK/ 17:00 CET
Venue: Stade Raymond Kopa (Angers).
This early evening kick off on Saturday will pit Angers in 12th place against PSG in 1st and the champions at that but PSG’s form has been so poor lately this isn’t a certain win for the Paris club.
Angers are simply playing the season out and have 45 points, their form has actually been solid with just one loss in their past five games and their last league game ended in a 1-0 win over Bordeaux which was away from home. The club with a decent run until the end of the season could finish in the top 10.
PSG are champions but their season is ending in a nightmare for them. They have lost in the Coupe de France and have just 1 win in their past five games, their last match ended 1-1 in Paris against Nice.
On form the club would be in 15th place and there has been talk that Neymar and Edinson Cavani could leave at the end of the season. These have certainly been unstable times for the French champions.
PSG have the best away record in the league but they come into this game having lost their last 3 away matches in a row. It seems unbelievable to think that they have conceded 11 goals in those games and the club are a shadow of the side from earlier in the season.
Angers vs PSG: Head to Head
Earlier this season PSG beat Angers 3-1.
PSG have beaten Angers in the last 7 meetings in a row.
Angers have not scored when at home against PSG since 2011.
Angers vs PSG: Prediction
PSG do have many problems on the pitch and behind the scenes but still we don’t think their terrible form can keep on lasting and they need just 2 more goals to break the 100 barrier for the season which we think they can get here.
The hosts are in solid form and they can cause the club some problems. We think it is possible to witness a few goals here as tactics will go out the window and we could get a very fast paced game which means we will be entertained.
