Both the sides have tough fixtures waiting for them in their respective groups, with Algeria taking on Kenya and Mali clashing with Mauritania in their opening fixtures.
The Mali side will be coming into the clash after witnessing their five-match unbeaten streak brought a halt after Senegal came from behind to snatch the victory from them in their last away match. The Algerian side, on the other hand, have been continuing an impressive run of form, having not lost any of their last five matches.
The Mali team will have to shake off the nerves from their shock defeat and turn the tables around quickly if they are to stop the Algerian side from walking away with the win at the end of the ninety minutes.
We can certainly expect an exciting ninety minutes and plenty of goal attempts from the attacking Algerian side who will be keen on making it six out of six matches without a loss.

Algeria vs Mali Prediction
The Algerian side are more likely to snatch the win by the end of the ninety minutes when they take on Mali on Sunday. The Mali team are unlikely to cause any trouble to the Algerian side who are currently boasting a five-match unbeaten streak and could well see the latter handing them their second straight defeat.
Algerian forward Baghdad Bounedjah is an imminent threat to watch out for, having found the back of the net in three of his last four matches. He is sure to be a threat to the Mali defence, who have managed just one clean sheet in their last three away matches. The Mali side will also have to cautious of pacey winger Riyad Mahrez who is very quick on the counter attacks.
The Algerian defence will have to equally alert of the Mali attack force when the latter have the ball in possession. Having slotted in five goals in their last three matches, the Mali side are certain to ask a few questions in the defensive third, at the other end, throughout the ninety minutes.
Nonetheless, with the Algerian side looking more sound, in both attack and defence, the game is almost certain to see Algeria take the win against Mali at the end of the final whistle.
