Albania vs Ukraine
Date: Sunday, 3rd June 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK
Venue: Stade Camille Fournier (Evian-les-Bains).
Albania have seen their struggles continue as they suffered a 0-3 loss to Kosovo on Tuesday, failing to bounce back from a 0-1 loss to Norway seen in late March as Christian Panucci fails to find a cure for their woes in the attacking third.
Red and Blacks have seen two losses late in the World Cup campaign and saw only one win in their last five outings, beating Turkey in a 2-3 thriller back in November. They’ve failed to score goals in all of the four losses and this could be even more worrying, as Albania need a way back to the winning ways ahead of the September outings.
Ukraine will be no easy rivals to beat, though, and they boast a solid spell of form as Andriy Shevchenko’s men connected a four-game unbeaten streak since November. They’ve beaten Slovakia and Japan, holding Saudi Arabia to a draw along the way, despite conceding goals on all of the occasions. They now come into the contest on the back of a goalless draw against Morocco and we do believe we’re in for another rock-solid performance at Stade Camille Fournier.
We will now back Ukraine to capitalize on the rivals’ recent woes and bag a win in Evian-les-Bains, going for this at 1.94 odds seems great value at this point as we see their current spell of form. They have been scoring more goals recently and we do see them outgunning the Albanians.
We do believe this will shape to be another exciting matchup with Over 2.5 goals FT at 2.38 odd, hoping to see goals on both ends and a high-scoring contest in South-Eastern France. Both sides have seen quite a few such games recently and this does shape like another such occasion in the making.
