Man City forward Sergio Aguero has stated that he would avoid taking risk in matches in order to help him keep off from injuries.
Setbacks have cost the Argentina international to missed 11 games this term and 27 in previous two seasons.
And the 27-year-old made it clear that he is only looking forward to be in the team sheet if he is fully fit.
“Now I realise the slightest discomfort and I won’t risk myself, as happened to me for the home game against Sunderland in December.”
“I started the previous game against Arsenal when I felt a slight pain in my knee, and I was told, ‘That’s it, you’re coming off’.
“I feel like I’m getting up to full fitness for games and trying to miss as few games as possible, that’s the most important thing,” he told SkySports.
Aguero has been prolific for Man City netting 120 goals in 185 outings in all competitions in four-and – a half stay at Etihad.
Man City who are sitting third in the league table with 43 points, one point short off joint leaders Arsenal and Leicester City will travel to play West Ham United at Upton Park on Saturday.
