AC Milan vs Inter Milan
Italy – Serie A
Date: Saturday, 21 September 2019
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza – San Siro (Milan).
AC Milan will be designated host in the 224th edition of the Derby della Madonnina on Saturday.
Milan are currently 7th with two wins and a loss to their name with just two goals scored. They failed to impress in their narrow wins over Brescia and, most recently, Hellas Verona, where they needed a penalty kick to defeat the 10-men hosts, tipped for relegation scrap. It’s safe to say they’re struggling to score. Calabria will miss the Derby due to suspension and Caldara is a long-term absentee.
Inter are sitting at the top with 100 percent win record. They’ve beaten Lecce (4-0), Cagliari (2-1) and Udinese (1-0) to date. The Serie A leaders failed to transfer their league form to UEFA Champions League, though, as they looked underwhelming against Slavia Prague on Tuesday, and almost lost the game.
It’s quite clear both teams are work in progress, like everyone else early on in the season, but the Nerazzurri have showed much more than Rossoneri so far.

AC Milan vs Inter Milan: Prediction
This derby came too soon for unsettled AC Milan with a new manager who’s still looking for a right formation and a winning formula. I’m sure they will ‘click’ and get it going at one point, but right now, I have to give Neroazzurri an edge and back them in DNB Market.
Since we’ve seen just three goals in AC Milan’s games so far, I’m quite confident this will be a low-scoring affair. Rossoneri had problems with Udinese, Brescia and Verona, how they’re supposed to get past Inter’s world-class back line?
As a fun bet, I’ll back Stefano Sensi to score. He was fantastic in all of their games so far and netted two vs Udinese and Lecce. Odds are juicy as well.
