Brendan Rodgers eyes managerial return

Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is eyeing a return to managerial role by the end of the season. He is widely rumoured to a return to Swansea City and also tipped as the ideal man to replace Ronny Deila, if he resigns from his post at Celtic.

The former Liverpool boss also hints that he wants a comeback to technical bench but insist that he is happy with the rest.

“I am enjoying the rest. I have no concrete offers at the moment but certainly in the summer I want to get back to work again.”

“I’ve had a great rest, I’ve enjoyed it and I’ll be refreshed and ready for the summer.”

Liverpool will play at home to Villareal in the second tie of the Europa League Semi-final with 1-0 deficit on Thursday and the former Reds boss says the Anfield fans can help Jurgen Klopp’s side to sail through.

“I think they have a great chance on Thursday night. They will be disappointed to concede late on but going back to Anfield with only one goal to make up, they’ve got every chance of getting through.”

“The Anfield support is incredible so I’m sure they’ll really push them into the final, ” he added.
